BPR Lestari Bali, Sharing a Piece of Story at Ebenhaezer Orphanage Denpasar

Carrying the #MakeanImpact mission, this month BPR Lestari Bali is back with several programs. One of them is #LestariforKids which is a routine BPR Lestari Bali routine program. This month, the Lestari for Kids program will be held on August 10-11, 2019. Every 2 (two) months, as much as 8 tons of rice are distributed to 40 fostered orphanages spread across Bali.

One of the BPR Lestari Bali orphanages in the Denpasar area is the Ebenhaezer Orphanage. Located in the Tukad Balian Renon area, the Orphanage fosters 15 children who live inside the house, and 15 more children who have lived outside the orphanage but are still under the care and supervision of the management of the Ebenhaezer Orphanage.

Is Mr. Rudy Kakasih and his wife, who are administrators of the Ebenhaezer Orphanage. Behind the smiles of Mr. Rudy and younger siblings in this orphanage, many stories were shared with the BPR Lestari Bali team when visiting to provide rice assistance.

"Many children here have difficulty in taking care of birth certificates. Because my age is no longer young, it must be rejected by civil records to enter the name of one of the orphanage children in my KK. So like it or not, I have to look for biological parents of children here, "said Mr. Rudy while laughing at his struggle.

"This orphanage was originally built and managed by my father. Since he died, my wife and I took over to manage this orphanage. Initially the Orphanage was located on Jalan Palapa. But because there are internal differences of opinion, we relented and thankfully got help from people and can rent a place here now. We moved here since August 2018 ", he added.

He admitted that until now he did not have permanent donors. What's more, the current constraint is the school fees that are still 'in arrears' to the school. However, the school still provides relief so that children can go to school as usual.

With the presence of BPR Lestari and the Lestari for Kids program which routinely distributes 200kg of rice every 2 months, Mr. Rudy is grateful that he was greatly helped by the food needs at the Orphanage.

"Every day, yes, I go around looking for good people who want to help each other here and there. I thank BPR Lestari Bali for helping with the food needs of the younger siblings here. Thank you for lightening our burden here, "said Rudy.

Ebenhaezer Orphanage Denpasar is one of 48 orphanages under the auspices of Lestari Group. "We hope that the #MakeanImpact mission will continue to expand to other Orphanages," concluded Ayu Silviananda, Corporate Secretary Manager of BPR Lestari Bali.
