In the agenda of BPR Lestari’s hearing with the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia, Bintang Puspayoga, that was held at the end of January 2022, some information related to the work program of the Ministry that focus on women empowerment and child protection was presented.
As a form of support towards that work program, starting in 2022 BPR Lestari launched the initiative of “Lestari for Women”.
“In 2022, we want to expand the reach of our CSR Program to focus on women. Therefore, we submitted a request for an audience to the Minister. We are so grateful because our request has been accepted so that there is discussion and we could make targeted program”, said Luh Ketut Citarasmini, the Compliance Director of BPR Lestari Bali. “
We, from the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection really appreciate if the stakeholder would like to participate in our work program. The more people who help, the wider the reach. We will facilitate the good intention of BPR Lestari”, said the Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Protection, Bintang Puspayoga.
“For women who became head of family because their husband was dead due to Covid-19, there will be aid worth a total of 100 million rupiah that will be distributed directly by BPR Lestari to each mother. And then, there are a total of 16 junior high school and senior high school children that will receive the Lestari Anak Asuh scholarship. We will help the children for the school fees until they graduate from Senior High School. For university, it will also be supported through the Generasi Lestari selection. Hopefully, this assistance can provide sustainable benefits for mothers and their children”, concluded Luh Ketut Citarasmini.
